I feel it it's in need of firmware updates to improve it and make it better for content (EOTF curve following, for example). This Atmos video looked better on all devices on my TV after it got darker and my hue bias lights kicked in. ![]() Something like Govee or Philips Hue light strip or Hue Sync (downside of Sync is expensive and no HDMI 2.1 for the Sync). What may help your nighttime viewing is to get bias lighting for behind the TV. It mostly looks good with HDR10, just a few dark scenes where the color banding looks bad. I'm of the opinion this video makes expensive LCD TVs look bad too. While others prefer external devices, I don't think you'll gain an advantage with this video as an example. For reference, my TV is a Samsung 65" JS9500 from 2015. ![]() I tried it on Roku Ultra 4660, Apple TV 4KGen1, Chromecast with Google TV, and Fire TV 4K Stick no appreciable difference. ![]()
